Solid-waste data missing for 47 of 234 urban wards — ULB dashboards

Cross-referencing the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Body data portal against the national Swachh Bharat Mission urban dashboard reveals that solid-waste collection data is missing for 47 of 234 urban wards in TN — and yet the same wards are reported as 100% compliant on the SBM-urban dashboard.

The discrepancy concentrates in Tier-2 ULBs: Cuddalore Municipality, Sivakasi Municipality, Karur Municipal Corporation and Hosur Municipal Corporation account for 31 of the 47 missing wards. TN-Info first noticed the divergence while building a state-wide compliance map.

We have written to the Commissionerate of Municipal Administration for clarification; no response as of publication. The SBM team at the national level has acknowledged receipt of the diff.
