TNEA 2026 registration window closes 2 June — choice-filling opens after merit list

The Directorate of Technical Education opened TNEA 2026 registration on 3 May at tneaonline.org, with the application window closing on 2 June 2026. The portal accepts Class XII marks, community certificates, special-reservation claims (sports/ex-servicemen/differently-abled), and an upload of the Aadhaar-linked photo.

Counselling is entirely online and structured around four rounds — choice-filling, allotment, online reporting and fee payment. The Anna University-published rank list is expected within 10 days of the registration close. ~1.34 lakh seats across 455 institutes are in scope.
